Abstract

The Catalunya Land-Grid(s) research – once referred to the HiCat-Hyper- Catalonia Territories of Research consultation (2003) and now integrated in the Med-Ways international research – wants to depth in the capacity of a territory (country/region) to be conceived as a large supra-metropolitan system of networked cities and territories. A virtual (and real) "combinatory" multi- metropolis (or, if you prefer, geo-urbanity), coordinated and concerted (multi- and inter- urban), and developed as an integrated topo-system, eco-, infra-, intra-, trans- and info- structural; deepening, in the specific case of Catalonia, in its Mediterranean condition, in its possible historical evolution and in its contemporary dimension.
