The hypothesis that underlies in the present approach is that, under certain geographical and urban conditions, but also technological and cultural, cities and territories can work (or tend to work) as virtual multi-urban – supra-metropolitan or meta-politan (Asher, 1995) – scenarios developed “beyond” the traditional uni-referential metropolises: polycentric ensembles, organized in meshes and combined networks of collaboration and interconnection (productive, administrative, communal, commercial, environmental...), diverse and varied at the same time.

Abstract
The hypothesis that underlies in the present approach is that, under certain geographical and urban conditions, but also technological and cultural, cities and territories can work (or tend to work) as virtual multi-urban – supra-metropolitan or meta-politan (Asher, 1995) – scenarios developed “beyond” the traditional uni-referential metropolises: polycentric ensembles, organized in meshes and combined networks of collaboration and interconnection (productive, administrative, communal, commercial, environmental...), diverse and varied at the same time.File in questo prodotto:
