Martínez del Romero, lexicógrafo. Fuentes de su Dizionario italiano-spagnuolo (1844-1847)

The studies that had been published so far on Antonio Martínez del Romero and his Dizionario italiano-spagnuolo e spagnuolo-italiano had left several questions unanswered due to a lack of documentary sources. On the one hand, more data on the life of the philologist, teacher, lexicographer, translator, multifaceted political and cultural figure of the 19th century. On the other hand, apart from analytical studies on the macro- and microstructure of his dictionary, the lexicographical sources on which he based his unfinished work had not been demonstrated until now. These are the gaps that this study aims to fill.
