The article analyses the countermeasures taken bythe European Union to tackle the economic crisis following the Covid-19 pandemic. In particular, it examines in depth the institutional reasons that support the European Union’s intervention and the limits that derive from the political and philosophical foundations of the integration project through the internal market. Next, the contribution focuses on the concrete measures taken so far and the s.c. recovery found just presented by the European Commission.
